This is one of them and it brings me to a point I would like to make to writers of series books. Chapter 1 introduces 16, count 'em, 16 characters by name. This was done in the first 3 pages. I was bombarded by these people; knew nothing about them at all.

There was really no point in the book where all the relationships were explained, nothing about how all these people got together as vigilant Ms. There was really no point in the book where all the relationships were explained, nothing about how all these people got together as vigilantes, etc. It was very frustrating. In this novel one of their number has had his identity stolen. Calling on their resources hackers, newspaper editors, et al the 16 people attempt to identify the criminals and reinstate their friend's good name and credit rating.

In the process they discover an extensive ring that has stolen the identities of thousands of people. I wasn't very impressed with the story. I thought there was still a good bit to go based on remaining pages when all of a sudden the story was over. The remaining pages - and there were many of them - was an introduction to Michaels' next book.

I can't recommend this book. View all 3 comments. Jan 10, Cillapro rated it did not like it. This book annoyed me as a new reader to the series I found the characters to be one dimensional and silly. Come on I know this is fiction, but really.

Jan 23, Julie rated it liked it. I keep reading because she keeps writing them but the series lost it appeal after the first 7 books. I can read them in a day so that is why I guess I keep reading but really not worth it. Sep 12, Nikki rated it liked it Recommends it for: not sure that I would Another in the sisterhood series.

Same formula, etc. Nothing new Once again I am left to ask where this is all going, and when is it going to finally wrap up. Enough is enough! A little disappointed but holding on.

This one started out dramatic and with a surprise. A good way to start the book. It was good to re-visit all the gang again. Yes, there is a but in there, it feels a little flat at the same time. Yes, there is action and yes they are up against a couple of really evil, clever thieves. And their setup is a lot more complex and far-reaching than originally thought.

The punishment? A little lack luster in my view.

Completed and all the loopholes being clos A little disappointed but holding on. Completed and all the loopholes being closed but where is the "Ta Da" moment? Charles shows up in this book and the "girls" are still beyond angry with him.. What's gonna happen now?

Keep reading. Jun 26, Lyn Soulia smith rated it really liked it. This series has kept me busy in between all of the other books that I have devoured. I think this is a fun series that throws in some sadness, happy tears and anger at some of the topics they hit upon. For the most part, the endings are always pretty good. With Charles returning in this book and the characters able to spend time with their loved ones, it put a smile and chuckle in the read.

I think my only complaint in this book was the outcome that was to get the identity crooks didn't seem to be as elaborate as in other books. Now waiting for the next book in the series to hit my mail box. Good readings! This was a good subject for the Sisters to tackle along with the lack of a pardon for them and their continued exile and Charles return to the fold. I wasn't surprised to find Charles' return to come with consequences and am still waiting to see how he and Myra work things out between them as their love is deep but her pain is almost as deep.

Nov 16, Christine Maynor rated it really liked it. I would probably give this book 4. It's a really easy read and really interesting read! But the language is the only part I had a problem with. I would still probably read more by this author because she's really good. Welcome back Charles!!

The sisters continue to right wrongs. My daughter had to deal with identity theft so it touched home with me. The world with the sisterhood is a combination of one with Superman , John Wayne and Lassie!! Oh how we wish I wish it was as easy as the Vigilantes make is seem to get justice for average people from the thieves and cheats in the world. I love the speed of these books and the mix of levity with the difficult issues. Sep 10, Bookish Enchantment Katherine Quirke rated it really liked it.

Fast paced and just a little bit different to what you may expect. Love the cheeky amusing scenes and interactions between the characters. Always a good read. A bit mellow This one wasn't the usual kick butt tale but it was still very good. Liked that Harry was the subject this time.

Jan 13, Linda rated it really liked it. I was debating whether or not to give up on this series as I didn't enjoy the last book at all, however this one is much better and hopefully the story lines willl pick up again now.

Vanishing Act - Paperback

Sep 02, Mike Corgan rated it really liked it Shelves: fern-michaels. Another very good book in the Sisterhood series. The books in the beginning had you racing through the books. This one is the same. Fun, fun, fun. This one had lots of heart and an interesting plot. It moved quickly and satisfied at the end. Great Another great read.

These books keep me so interested that I can hardly put them down. Feb 13, Angelyn rated it it was ok. I like the idea behind this series but felt that it was poorly written.
